Bid–Alot.com is an adequate online auction service offering the typical selection of auction categories like, antiques, collectables and music. They do not offer an adult or over 18 section and maintain they are a family friendly auction site.
Unlike many other auction websites, Bid–Alot.com does not have listing fees. They alternatively charge a 2 percent commission of the final price, only if your item is sold. This allows you to list as many products you like for as long as you need.
Bid–Alot.com allows and encourages members to open stores. This is a place where sellers can display the items they are selling. This is particularly beneficial to those who have begun to build a reputation on the auction site with good feedback.
A unique feature to Bid–Alot.com is the user blogs. Members can create blogs posting messages about latest sales, newest items or just rant about their day. This gives Bid–Alot.com a personal and community feel.
We found Bid–Alot.com’s largest downfall to be their help section. The FAQs and Knowledgebase is difficult to navigate and sparse in information. Many of the questions are answered in only a few sentences. Although the video tutorials are informative they do not give the user the option to read the material, you must sit through each one. We also found the Live chat help feature to rarely be active.
